Claude Monet, Clay,

Cartoon Painting

April 13-17 

Half Day: 9am-12:30pm

Full Day: 9am-3pm

Key Ideas

  • Learning about Claude Monet and his work

  • Painting in the style of Monet

  • Clay

  • Painting techniques various textures

Why is it important?

  • Students will learn how to create depth and space 

  • Students will learn different techniques to create different textures

  • Our classes are a detailed study in light, shadows and color.

  • Clay stimulates the child's curiosity, and encourages more experimentation.

  • Students will develop artistic skills with open-ended result.

  • Monet's art is a great way to teach kids about art, and how art is a very personal thing.

  • Through Monet's art we will teach our students to see beauty in all aspects of nature - the water, the flowers, the sky, the snow and the trees.

  • Students will learn to see these images in their mind's eye and capture them in their paintings.

(All supplies are included​)
